Today I am sharing a cute and easy DIY Happy Birthday Banner that took me about 20 minutes to complete. For this project, I picked up this banner from a local craft store (it comes with the string included!). I also used various washi tape and a medium tip pen. I used a total of 16 triangles (two decorative on each end, the letters and a decorative one in the middle) which left me with some of the triangles left over which I am planning on hanging in my room at school. I simply wrapped the tape around the triangles and left the excess tape in the back (although, if you wanted to write something on the either side, you could easily trim the tape!) I wanted the banner to look fun and lighthearted so I didn't stick to a specific pattern in my tape colors or placement! I also used a variety of different colors and sizes for tape. Before stringing the banner, I made sure that the letters were in the correct order so that I wouldn't have to go back and restring them! (can you spot the one out of place??) The string became a bit unraveled as I strung the banner which was a little difficult. I also had to adjust the banner a few times to make sure I liked my spacing (I found an inch between each triangle looked best!)
I was so excited when my close friend Caroline told me that her boyfriend, Matt, would be visiting while I was home! We took these photos in Lambs Canyon and Park City, Utah. We were all talking about how warm it was in comparison to the weather we were having and then (of course!) the weather took a turn, started to snow and became super cold. Luckily, we still managed to get some cute pictures before we all were too cold to continue.

Here is a short film I made while taking some photos with friends up in the mountains of Utah! We lasted about 20 minutes outside before we were all too cold and wet from the blizzard of snow.
